antenna mast wobble

The current eave mounted mast I have the fm-360 on top (about 11 feet above the peak) and about 5 feet below that I have the DB4E. It doesn't take much wind to get this to start wobbling so I just ordered a sloped roof tripod mount for the DB4E. My question is if both antennas are the same height how far laterally would they need to be apart from each other.

Thanks Rich

More is better, but try for no less than 4'. Also, be sure to avoid placing one in front of the other.

If they both are the same height wouldn't that be impossible since the fm-360 antenna is omnidirectional. Or do you mean 4 feet higher?

Again, more separation is better. If the DB4e is located so that it's not obstructing the path of an FM station of interest, you'll do fine. If you have FM signals from all points of the compass, you'll do best by separating the two antennas both horizontally and vertically. The idea here is that metal objects and trees are best kept out of the path of reception.

Ok thanks. Yes there are fm signals from all around. Right now they are seperated by 5 feet only vertically so i will try to maintain that.
Thanks again Rich
