Antenna Under Deck - need to ground it?

2 Attachment(s)
Hi. This site has helped me a lot in my cord-cutting efforts. I just moved my HDTV antenna from the attic to outside. I want it to be as inconspicuous as possible, so I temporarily put it under the deck to see if that would be satisfactory, and reception is perfect there.

See the pictures.

So, the question is, do I need to ground this?

Any info appreciated.

Thanks.

While the likelihood of a direct lightning strike is diminished,
lightning can travel long distances on and through the ground.
Properly grounding your system will protect from errant spikes
of energy and can actually enhance reception.......
