Need Help Getting Started

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...1ddabe3d3e90d4

I plan to go OTA to one TV and would like help selecting the best antenna, etc.

Need help evaluating my signal analysis.

Interested in receiving the channels in the NW direction. (mainly the top 11 listed with the exception WUND-TV 20) all in LOS

This will be a roof top installation at 40 feet with no obstructions.

About 50 feet from the antenna to TV.

Looking for a small/medium antenna similar to the RCA ANT 751 or the channel master 4228hd.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

A small high-VHF/UHF combo ought to do fine.

What model do you suggest?

The ANT-751 fits that description. As does the Antennas Direct C2-V http://www.amazon.com/Antennas-Direc...eam+2v+antenna

No static at all 25-Jan-2013 6:44 PM

Both of those are excellent suggestions. You may also want to consider the HBU-22 or HBU-33.

I think i will go with the cv-2 based on size.

Would I benefit from any additional equipment based on my signal analysis or should I make a straight connection?

Keep it simple.

It sounds like you have one TV, if true you'll have more than enough signal strength without an amplifier. In fact, you may be able to split to four TVs or more before needing to consider an amplifier.

Install a Clear Stream 2 V , Complete UHF/VHF antenna aimed at about 60 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Install the CS2v Complete antenna above the high point of the roof in such a manner that the roof and house are not blocking reception to the , north west , east , south west.

The J type mount that comes with the CS2v Complete is a good antenna mount.
