W. Denver Burb, Reception Advice
I would appreciate any advice and a few possible options to get the best rock solid OTA signal possible. House is a ranch style surround by 2 stories and bi-levels, with mature trees. we sit in a valley, even cell phone reception in our home is spotty. A small breeze seems to destroy the signal on this set top antenna. Any help with antenna suggestions, preamps, etc. greatly appreciated. I would prefer attic mount solely for aesthetics, but I can do roof mount if needed. Here is my TVFool link......

I'd try an RCA ANT-751R... Given the trees, be prepared to mount outside. There you'll be dealing with better signal levels and less interference from florescent bulbs and other sources of electronic noise.
A premium solution would be an Antennas Direct DB4e + Antennacraft Y5713 + UHF/VHF Combiner. |
Hey, Thanks so much GUM.
At what compass reading would you aim each antenna? |
Just aim (point the narrow front end) due west as a start. The ANT-751R is pretty forgiving... But try adjusting left and right in 10° steps to see the effect on reliable reception of the stations most important to you. Running a scan each time you make an adjustment... Use the add scan function if your TV has it.
