KDOC Not in TVFool Database?

Why is KDOC in Los Angeles missing in the TVFool database?

It's clearly broadcasting and has been for many years.

Hi jerrymc:

TV Fool has a very small staff that has not been able to keep up with Repack changes, etc. But, I just checked Rabbitears.info for the LA Market and it's there. Copy and past (sorry I'm not the most adept computer keystroke). Hope this helps.....

Kdoc (h-vhf)

Thanks.

I didn't realize KDOC moved to H-VHF (207MHz) a few months ago when KTLA moved its freq. as well.

It now makes sense that KDOC doesn't come in as well anymore, along with KABC (177MHz). So much for using 2 separate antennas.
(One for UHF and one for VHF.)

Hi jerrymc:

Yes, and for those of us who have been a bit frustrated with their previous signal strength on their UHF frequency, this change to VHF High 12, physical, with strong readings on my TV meter, 35dB plus SNR, was a welcome boon. No complaints from this Peanut Gallery since the change!

Sorry to hear about your difficulties due to your location. If you send a PM (for your privacy) to rabbit73, he has the technical background to run a location check that might help with your reception. At least it couldn't hurt and only cost you in a small amount of time. Just an idea.

Anyway, hopefully better viewing days ahead for you. All the best.....

You are behind a mountain for KDOC, jerry:

https://forum.tvfool.com/attachment....5&d=1569117594

Your location is on the edge of the red zone of the Longley-Rice coverage map, which is the weakest listed signal strength.

https://forum.tvfool.com/attachment....6&d=1569161131

Because of the directional KDOC transmitting antenna pattern, less than 38 kW out of 110 kW ERP is sent in your direction:
