What's this all about???

"Masterpiece" series antennas?

They look cool, and apparently what's old is new again (F-type baluns), quality construction.

Oh, great.. now we have to refer to them as "old CM 3023," vs "new CM 3023." Geez.. come up with a new model number already! d'oh...

Also, why no gain specs?

It looks like Channel Master is turning into a marketing-driven company instead of the engineering-driven company they once were. Their published technical specs are disappearing with every new product they launch. Very disconcerting. Makes you wonder what they are hiding.

There has already been a lot of discussion about how the redesign of the 4228 really screwed things up.

Feedback over time will tell if these 30xx and 50xx models have any serious design flaws.

Marketing hype and aesthetics may win in the short term, but it's antenna performance and solid construction that win in the long term.

Yeah it smells of "Bose" style marketing. Outrageous claims (100 miles?!?) and no technical specs.

It could very well be a great antenna, and at $149 it had better be.

There is limited gain specs in the current CM catalog.

On page 6 of the catalog they claim 20 dB average gain for their UHF CM-3023 Yagi. Forgive my cautious skepticism...
