Need Help in Northern Utah County

I have installed the RCA ANT751R Outdoor Antenna Optimized for Digital Reception (Amazon link), but I only get 1 HD channel (Univision) and 2-3 Analog channels depending on how I point the antenna. The antenna is on the old Dish mount 30 feet up in the corner of the roof (had to use a 30-ft extension ladder to get to the dish mount). I used a compass on my phone to point it and I don't see any difference in the reception of the few channels I get and I don't get any more channels no matter how I turn the antenna.

The TVFool Analysis said I would only receive a couple strong channels so I'm not surprised by my results. Is there any way to improve the number of channels I can receive? Would a pre-amp make any difference? Different antenna?

Also, what if several of my neighbors want the same setup? Does that affect my reception?

The title of your post suggests you're in Utah, but your TV Fool link is for an imprecise location in Warriors Mark, PA. In either case, it would be helpful if you could use the Interactive TV Maps tool to locate your site, then generate a TV Fool report that's based on your actual location. Please be sure to set the mounting elevation to your actual installation.

Thank you for your quick reply. Very strange that the address is in PA. Yes, I'm in UT and here is the map generated by using your link:

The following is a Teleview recommendation for broadcast Tv reception.

Above the roof install a Antennas Direct DB4e antenna aimed at about 325 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Install a Ultra low noise , KitzTech KT-200-COAX TV Antenna Booster Remote Power Fed , amplifier for the weak Tv signals.

If you do not have a antenna mount here are some , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/Tripods%200703/4712.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com.

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com , http://www.kitztech.com.

As always , trees and tree leaves do a real fine job of reducing or blocking Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions.

It is best to locate the antenna at a location that has the lest amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the direction of reception.

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the Broadcast Tv Channels , sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

DO NOT channel scan for cable tv channels.

K43JV is a Religion Broadcaster , it is a strong signal and will most likely be received at a back angle of the antenna.

KPDR-LD 19 is http://americaone.com , at 351 degree magnetic compass direction.

The rest of the receivable Digital Tv stations/channels are at about 309 degree magnetic compass direction.
