Help Selecting Antenna for Cottage
Here is the tvfool link for my cottage:
http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wr...a36264098bee52 I currently have a Winegard Ms-2000. It works OK at night but terrible during the day. There are stations in both Fort Wayne and South Bend (each 40 Plus miles away). If I could receive a full set (ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, Fox) from either I would jump for joy! I currently have the MS-2000 mounted to my deck and it is about 14 feet off the ground. I could use a gable mount on my cottage and get to 20 feet plus. There are trees in the area but I think I have a good line of site to the tower. Any antenna recommendations? |
Get yourself an AntennasDirect XG-91 from Solid Signal: ($53.00 plus shipping) mount it in place of the MS-2000, and aim it at 320 degrees as measured by your compass: everything from South bend will come in perfectly.

So if you don't get an ABC affiliate pointing at 320 deg, try aiming @ 120 deg. were you have a very good shot at WPTA-DT. |
Re: Cottage Antenna
Thank You so much. Will order one this week. If I got greedy and decided to try for Fort Wayne also what type of setup would I need? Could I use the MS-2000 with some sort of splitter? If not could I use the MS-2000 for my home (maybe in my attic?).
