New help upgrading my current outdoor antenna
 

I am in the market for outdoor antenna where I can get the most OTA channels.
I am planning to install the antenna outdoor on backyard fence pool. If there is a better indoor antenna I might go that route but all depends on the cost.

I am currently using ClearStream™ 2V Long Range UHF/VHF with CPA 19 pre amp.
I am hoping there is newer antenna out there and will give me more channels.

What direction is the antenna pointed now?

Mounting on the backyard fence pole sounds like you aren't really serious about improving your reception. Forget an indoors antenna, if you want to do better.

I'd suggest you mount in the clear air above your roof, as high as you can go.

You have a lot of stations around 240 degrees magnetic. Point the antennas that way, and the more sensitive/bigger, the more stations you will get. This is my Antennas Direct DB8e and Antennacraft Y10713 with an Antennacraft 10G221 mast-mounted preamp.

The other smaller antenna is for FM. Moutn the antennas high, above the tree line and clear of any buildings or other obstructions in the direction of the transmitters, point both panels of the DB8e and the Y10713 at magnetic 240 and you'd get lots of stations.

Does the C2V have a good view towards Atlanta?

Are there specific stations that are you not getting (and would like to) or are you just fishing for that elusive (and undefined) "more"?

Do I need both DB8e and Antennacraft Y10713 or either one would do? Do I need a pre amp if using both antenna or just one?

No, I get the most view from the fence but not 100% clear. There are trees and side of another house blocks the view.
I am thinking of getting a longer pole since I am afraid of being on the roof of a 2 story house.

The DB8e covers UHF stations, real channels 14-51. The Y10713 covers VHF high, real channels 7-13. The preamp combines the signals from the two antennas. With just one or the other, you could connect the antenna directly to the TV. With both antennas: instead of the preamp, you could use a passive combiner called a UVSJ (UHF-VHF splitter-joiner). If you want just one antenna that covers both UHF and VHF-high, you could possibly use the Antennacraft HBU55 or HBU44. The combination above should be superior though.

If you want to go higher from the ground, telescoping masts are available that will go much higher than the fence. Take a look here - http://www.antennapartsoutlet.com/ You can also use the house to help support the mast without going up on the roof. Look at eave mounts and wall mounts.
