recommendation for uhf/vhf antenna

I need a recommendation for an antenna in san ramon, ca. I located in the valley. I'm interested mainly in the major networks like ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and PBS

Is this a , house , condo , apt. , mobile home , motor home , etc.?? How many Tv's will be connected??

Winegard HD7698P; HDP-269 preamp. Aim it at Mt Sutro.

Can you explain why this preamp compared to a higher power one? My house is a single story house, two tvs.
