Reception Help Dundas / Hamilton area

Here is the TV Fool Report for my location, trying to be as accurate as possible I used GPS coordinates from where the antenna sits on the J-Pole.

I'm having a heck of a time trying to get the sweet spot where I can pull in both Toronto & Buffalo. I am using a AntennaCraft U4000 with a AntennaCraft 10G201 amplifier, FM Trap turned off.

I'm thinking that the beamwidth is not good enough to fully capture the extent of both locations, by placing the antenna centrally between the two locations, however, if you are familiar with the area of Hwy 6 & the 403, I am about 1/3 of the way up the Hwy 6 escarpment. I'm getting some pretty serious ghosting on CHCH on the analog side of things which I believe is attributed to the fact that I am picking up reflections off the face of the escarpment during my testing.

WGRZ is particularily hard to get, but, on the other hand, I have been able to steadily hold it during some evenings.

Im also wondering about the tilt, if any, that should be applied to the antenna to effectively get a better view of the horizon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

WGRZ is on channel 33. WNLO is on channel 32 and 38 db stronger. I'd be considering ways to aim at WGRZ and drop the signal of WNLO. One antenna that can do that is the 91XG.

The 91XG would also allow you to reduce the signal strength of the CN tower stations. Of course, you'll need a rotator.

Tv antennas and Tv reception

I agree with the 91XG suggestion. A antenna with narrow forward beam width. Here are places to buy Tv antennas and etc. in Canada , http://www.saveandreplay.com , http://www.trentondistributors.com . Here is help group in Canada , http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum

Rotate the 91XG counterclock wise , more toward the east. So the American stations are better received and the Canada stations are more on the side of the antenna , When the Canada stations are more on the side of the antenna then the Canada stations will not be as strong and this help the reception of the weaker American stations. DO NOT use any type or kind of antenna amplifier.
