Tough Location, Need Some Help
 

If there is someone out there that can help us figure out if we can get OTA tv and if so what equipment we would need to buy we would be forever grateful! I'd go with an Antennas Direct 91XG + Antennacraft Y10713 + RCA TVPRAMP1R. Mount outside, clear of obstructions such as trees and structures. If mounting on a common mast, place the 91XG at the top and the Y10713 about 4' below. This means that a 10' mast (or chain link 'top-rail') is needed.

Thank you so much for your suggestions, I am going to give them a try. Any guesses on the ability to receive an NBC channel?

Long shot on NBC. KUSA is your only chance.

The Y10713 is the best shot you have at receiving real CH-9. If that fails, diehards would consider ganging or stacking two or even four Y10713's (Arguably extreme measures.)

I purchased the 2 antennas you recommended, have them up and mounted, but still working out best way to get co-ax into the house and best placement of the pre amp. Do you recommend a specific type of coupler to join 2 antenna cables together?

The RCA TVPRAMP1R recommended above will mix the signals from the two antennas. Connect the Y10713 to the VHF port and the 91XG to the UHF port. This will give you a single coax lead-in. The preamp mounts on the antenna mast and uses phantom power supplied through the coax cable, from somewhere indoors.

Follow the instructions that came with the pre-amp for "separate" antennas.

Make absolutely certain that you do not put a power-blocking splitter between the pre-amp and its power inserter.

Make certain the FM Filter is "On" or "In". Do not assume the switches are set as the instructions and markings indicate, verify them.
