Hd Stacker in the attic. What will I pick up

Materials: wood, Thin low loss siding ( tested with shortwave radio)

Pre Amp: No
Rotator: Yes
Cable Runs: 40 ft max with two tv's

Hd Stacker is a deep fringe antenna I believe. I hope I can receive everything red and above. I am a dxer obviously and would like to pick up lots of channels.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a report with so much green. No doubt you'll receive plenty of channels. Just curious about why you chose the stacker, and secondly, if you're serious about long distance reception, why not mount the antenna outside?
On the rare night or early morning when a DXing opportunity presents itself, I enjoy seeing a station I've never seen before but I live in a fairly quiet rural area as far as TV signals go. I would guess DXing is much more difficult with so many strong TV stations nearby.

I have to agree with PM, both the strong local signals and attic mounting is going to limit your DX opportunities.

The HD Stacker has something of a cult following, so there is anecdotal evidence it works as an antenna.

I would not pick it as a 'deep fringe' or DX antenna. Antennas such as the XG91, HD8200, Y-10713 would come to mind (just to name a few).

Yea, that's a lot of green channels!

Must be a nice place to live. (heh).

Yeah, 91XG would be nice and mounting outside would be better to get those channels with negative NMs. Maybe dedicate one antenna for DX and another for local channels?

I bought it. 50 DTV Channels without rotating

When I do rotate it, I will see what I can pick up, My first placement of the antenna was straight at the green locals ( D'oh ). I did the attic so it could be temporary as I don't know what the future holds for me. Well, later on I will get a real antenna and a real setup.

That's cool... it'd be interesting to see if your Stacker can pick up those channels in grey (say around -10 dB NM)...
