Operational Questions

WQED, RF & Virtual Channel 13 has been missing from the Pittsburgh DMA Signal Locator for several months. Can someone fix that please?

WQED, PBS Pittsburgh is one of many stations missing.
Slowly, very slowly, stations that were missing are being
added.............

Welcome to the forum, pbyers

Yes, WQED is missing from TVFool reports because there are errors in the database used to generate reports as a result of many repack changes. I doubt that TVFool will make corrections because they have a small staff.

Here is a report for Pittsburgh with WQED missing:

This report from rabbitears.info shows WQED:

http://forum.tvfool.com/attachment.p...4&d=1533859937

https://www.rabbitears.info/market.p...&callsign=WQED

This shows the repack changes for the Pittsburgh DMA. Note that WQED will move to VHF-Low channel 2, which requires an antenna with large elements. There is a high noise level on VHF-Low from electrical interference, which will create a reception problem for some viewers.

Most of the changes will be during Phase 4:
Testing Begins: 6/22/2019 Phase Ends: 8/2/2019

FYI, WQED will be moving to VHF channel 4 in Phase 4 (CP granted 8/7/18).

That's better.....

All parts of rabbitears.info haven't been updated but it does show here:
https://www.rabbitears.info/tvq.php?...ms&facid=41315

and on the tower lineup:

I see the WQED tower, but what is that white "pillow" behind it?

Inflatable building aka "air-supported dome". Since that one is near the athletic fields, it's probably being used as a facility for the sports teams or other sports activities. They're quick to put up and cost considerably less than more traditional construction.

Ah, so! Thank you!
