Best Indoor Antenna For My Location/Situation

Hello,

I am setting up an OTA Slingbox at the following location:

The antenna will be in a basement window facing south into a McMansion. What would be the best indoor antenna for receiving the most channels?

Also, what would be the best outdoor omni-directional outdoor antenna just in case I can mount an antenna outside?

Thanks!

Hello, Welkin

In the basement with a building in the signal path is a very poor antenna location, but your local signals are very strong. I have good reception with a GE Attic Antenna indoors on the ground floor. The antenna is inexpensive, but you have to assemble it yourself.

If you don't want to assemble an antenna, I suggest an Antennas Direct C2V.

You do not need and should not use an Omni; your best signals are coming from the SSE.

Antennas Direct C2V, DB2e, RCA ANT751

Putting an antenna in basement where the only signal path is through or around a larger home is usually two strikes against you. All you can do is take your best swing.

All of your Boston stations are UHF, you are unlikely to pick up any of the VHF stations from Providence with your given constraints.

A 2 bay bowtie will likely be your best option since all your line of sight stations are UHF.

There are many 2bay bowtie antennas on the market starting as low as $19.99
