Translator stations are....?
 
Real quick question:

As far as I understand it, translator stations receive signals being transmitted from another station, and the rebroadcast them? That would explain why a local 'translator' 41 has been transmitting the 'color bars of death' for the last 3 days of inclement weather before disappearing completely.
