Request for antenna advice

There are SO MANY OPTIONS! I would appreciate advice on choosing an antenna setup. I am assuming I must be at least 30' up, rotater, etc.

I had in the past purchased an antenna from antennahub.com, it never worked worth beans. I have a MOHU that I used in my apt and even out where I live now it picks up a few channels, but it is not an outdoor antenna and I think I should be able to get more.

The Digital Tv stations/channels have good signal strength with antenna height at the 75 feet of the tvfool radar plot report.

Install a Winegard HD7698P antenna with a Winegard AP8275 preamp aimed at about 240 degree magnetic compass.

How many Tv's are/will be connected??

The Tv/s Must scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels sometimes named the 'Air Channels' or 'Antenna Channels' in the Tv setup menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Looks like all of the network channels , PBS , NBC , ABC , CBS , FOX , MyNetwork , The CW , Retro Tv Network , and more will be received.

DO NOT scan for cable tv channels.

I may have to start at 30' plus the height of my shop. To go that high I need to run 150ft min to the house.

I will be connecting 2 TVs and a computer (Hauppage board).

BTW: Do you have a rotator you would recommend? Or at least advice on what to stay away from?

Your original tvfool radar plot is showing the antenna height at 75 feet and at that height the tv signals are of good signal strength.

If your antenna mounting height is going to be at 30 plus feet then make 2 more tvfool radar plot reports.

30 and 40 feet to see what the signal strengths are at those antenna heights.

With the large antenna that you are needing to use, you also need a sturdy rotor. The Channel Master 9215 rotor is my recommendation.

Before installing hook it up and test run. Leave it set at the counter-clockwise end of rotation (000). Install it with the arrow on the side of the rotor and the antenna headed magnetic North. Use your TVF radar numbers to locate the stations.

The 75 feet antenna height is what is showing on the first tvfool radar report that you posted.

It really is important to make those 2 tvfool radar plot reports at 30 feet and 40 feet.

At 75 feet antenna height the signal strengths are good.

At 30 to 40 feet the signal strengths will be a lot less.

Do Not delete the first tvfool radar plot report.

After reading these reviews, you will be able to decide for yourself which rotor to purchase.

Personally I own a NTE U105, NTE U106 and Antennacraft TDP2. All are more reliable than the Channel Master 9521 and can drive a large antenna just as long as you keep the mast to a foot in length in the rotor itself.

I should be able to hit 50ft without too much trouble. My shop building is ~20ft at peak, and I can get a 30ft military surplus tower on eBay.

Looks like reliable reception of the Tulsa Ok. Tv stations/channels will happen with the HD7698P antenna and Winegard AP8275 preamp with the antenna height at about 40 feet and up.

Aim the antenna at about 240 degree magnetic compass. and turn antenna to the left and right to find the aim direction to the west/south west that produces the best/strongest reception of the Tulsa are Tv stations/channels.

Most digital Tv's have signal strength meter and some have a signal quality meter.

I am Not convinced that a antenna rotor is required for reception of the Tulsa area Tv stations to the west/south west.

However a Channel Master CM9521A will make it easier to adj. the antenna then doing it by hand to find the sweet spot of reception.

I want to say THANK YOU for all the help. I have done preliminary tests and have actually received a couple of channels using a POS antenna (unbelievably bad construction quality) purchased long ago from antennahub.com).

I am picking up a 50ft 25G tower on Sunday and expect to be blown away by what I am able to pick up then. Once I get the new antenna I should be set.
