Hi, My name is John. I'm wanting to setup my house with an OTA. One TV and computer will be approximately 15' from the antenna with two being 35' and the last one being 50'. I hope this is enough info that maybe those of you that are expert at this can lead me in the right direction. I thank you all very much.

Thanks for your post, I've ran across that before from your other posts helping others. What I'm asking is, what antenna system should I get, a single or double setup? Will I probably need an amp for the farthest tv's? What model antenna should I consider?

I would suggest using a Winegard HD-7696P or an AntennaCraft HBU-44 VHF-high-band plus UHF outdoor antenna mounted on your roof, mounted as high as is practical, aimed at 85 degrees by your compass. You may want to consider using a preamplifier like a Winegard HDP-269 if you want to run multiple TV sets from the antenna. You should see all of the Mobile-Pensacola stations without any problem if you use this combination.

Hi Mr. Tiger, I was hoping you would address my situation and for that I thank you very much. Is the HBU-44 a single UHF/VHF unit or are you saying use the HBU-44 for the VHF and use a separate UHF mounted on the same pole?

I'm very new to all this so please be patient with me. I appreciate your help.

Both antennas are both VHF and UHF in one antenna. I would choose the winegard because it has a built in coupler for coax connection. Point it at 85 degrees

Hi Mr. John, According to SolidSignal's website the coaxial connection is included with the HBU-44. Am I missing something? For some reason I'm kind of leaning towards the HBU-44.

The HBU 44 is a real fine antenna , get the HBU 44.

OK done, ordered the HBU-44 and the HDP-269 preamp from Solid Signal. The rest of the equation I'll probably get for Lowes/HomeDepot and my local Spectronics. I'll probably have more questions as I go forth. I'm also reading that Installation PDF above. Thanks so very much Guys.

To properly ground the mast, you still need the appropriate grounding system. Placing the bottom of the mast into the ground does not fulfill the requirements under common electrical code requirements.

Well, Rat Shack Blows. The only thing I was able to get at Rat Shack was the Standoffs. Better than nothing. Lowes was out of the copper wire - go figure.

I found the faucet clamp and pole clamp (same thing actually) and the Inline Coax Surge Protector at a place called Electronics Supply as no one else had a clue as to what I was talking about (I thought I didn't have a clue about this stuff - apparently I catch on fast). I could have ordered it online but I really wanted it today.

It's all coming together thanks to you guys.

HOLYCRAP BATMAN!!! You guys are freakin' awesome. I'm pulling in 26 stations. I would have never guessed that was possible. The antenna without the amp pulls in 6, but add the amp and an additional twenty stations get picked up.

Right now I just have my main tv hooked up at the moment. When I catch my breath and overcome these low blood sugars I'll get to work properly wiring my other tv's.
