I installed an antenna on the roof and got great signal and picture for about 6 months, then the signal started fading in and out from day to day. When I installed it I could swing the antenna all over and get signal. Checked cables, dry. Adjust antenna, no difference. Do antennas go bad? I'm using the sat cable from the old sat antenna. I did hear from a guy that had the same experience at about the same time, do the tv companies mess with the signal? Could it be my TV tuner?

Digital SUCKS! Well maybe not , but tonight, it does!

Do as the other question askers do and , Do This-> http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=4 , use the exact address to make the tvfool radar report. Make the antenna height 25 feet or how high your antenna is. How many Tv's are connected?? Tv companies do not "mess" with the signal and digital Tv is great

To prove out the reception. Install a Known To Be Good matching transformer (balun) to the antenna and a Known To Be Good long length of coax connected to the Known To Be Good matching transformer and run the Known To Be Good long coax through a open door or window Direct to the Tv. The Tv Must scan for the Digital Broadcast Tv Channels sometimes named the 'Antenna Channels" or 'Air Channels' in the Tv menu because the Tv transmissions travel through the air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna. . Do Not scan for cable Tv channels.

Well I ran new cable and Balun, made no difference. I was able to borrow a tv and the signal good, so my monster big screen is the problem. Thanks Electron for the advice and helping me to pinpoint the problem.
