I'm using this device to watch OTA TV on my PC in my office.

I'm not in there that much so I went that route vs. buying an actual TV.

The included antenna didn't pull in many channels so I purchased this one.

I'm receiving a lot more channels now, but cannot receive the VHF channels 8.1 and 19.1.
Here's my report.

The antenna is indoors right now, but I did put it on the roof about 15' up, but it did not help.

Is this a problem with the antenna or just my location? I've pointed it 38 degrees, tried it horizontal and vertical.

Thanks,
Rich

It's the antenna. Try something like an RCA ANT-751 or an AntennaCraft AC9 or Antennas Direct V10.

Here are some antenna mounts for the antennas Dave has recommended. http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html , http://www.ronard.com/ychim.html , http://www.ronard.com. Buy the ronard antenna mounts at solidsignal by typing the word ronard in the solidsignal search box or buy from ronard. Here are places to buy antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.antennacraft.net , http://www.antennasdirect.com , http://www.amazon.com

Aim the antenna at about 75 degree magnetic compass. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html

Thanks guys! Is there an indoor antenna you can recommend though? I'm assuming not because of the variables that can affect reception.

If the house is wood frame with wood or vinyl siding and has a plain shingle roof with no metal backed insulation the use a Terk HDTVi Non amplified indoor antenna. Aimed at about 75 degree magnetic compass. Here is how aim indoor antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. If the house if made of , metal framing , concrete , concrete blocks , cinder blocks , brick from ground to roof , big rocks for walls , metal siding , metal roof , solar panels , metal backed insulation , the then reception will be reduced or blocked.

Thanks again. I'll give that one a try.
