I have an existing DirecTV dish on my roof. I am hoping to remove the actual dish and re-use the bracket to mount the antenna as well as the existing coax that runs to the three sets on my house. I haven't looked at the bracket yet but I am confident I can fabricate anything I need to mate them up. The farthest run from the antenna would be 30-40'. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help!

Doing my best to not recommend 2 antennas. Post 2 new tvfool radar reports , 25 feet and 40 feet. Have a look at stronger signals.

Ok here is a recommendation for reception of the digital tv stations/channels listed in the current and Pending Applications Included as of 02-07-2012 , down to WHPX-TV 26 ION. , with one antenna. Install a Channel Master CM3000A antenna not less then 25 feet high. WHPX is a very weak station at 1.7 NM(dBm) signal strength and may not be received. The signal strength at 40 feet is 2.1 NM(dBm) , not enough to go to 40 feet for. You can give it a try at 25 feet , if the antenna does do the job you can send it back. . http://www.channelmasterstore.com , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.amazon.com

This recommendation will for sure receive WHPX. Install a AntennaCraft U8000 antenna aimed at about 195 degree magnetic compass. Remove the reflector rods of the U8000 by drilling out the rivets that hold the metal clips that hold the reflector rods. Now the >< shaped metal elements of the U8000 will receive tv stations at the front and back of the antenna. . Also install a Winegard HD9095 antenna aimed at about 111 degree magnetic compass , WHPX. . Combine the two antennas with a UHF channel 26 joiner , from http://www.warenelectronics.com. This set up will likely supply signal to 3 tv's with a simple common 3 way splitter. If a little more push is required to get the signals out to the 3 tv's then install a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp at the output of the joiner. . Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html. Wow! Many thanks for the informative and eye-opening information. Once I get up there I may make the call to scrap the DirecTV mount all together in favor of something more substantial. Thanks you! I will report back once I have everything set up.
