Here's my report

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3d67d94b96a829d2

I'm a newbie, but just got so fed up of paying $90 for network TV and the couple other channels we watched. Figured I could get what I need for much much less.
I can't live with out a DVR though, so I'll still pay Tivo, have a Tivo Premier.
With that in mind I was looking for a nondirectional antenna.
I have tried the antenasdirect Clearstream 2 and now have the Clearstream 4 http://www.antennasdirect.com/store/C4-Clearstream-DTV-antenna.html
I'm disapointed in my reception though. I can only really get a few stations well (8 WGAL, 15 WLY, 43 WPMT, 49 WGCB and out of my "critical" stations 21 WHP & 27 WHTM have been spotty and 27 is almost completely unavailable.
I have 30 ft of antenna into the house and split to two TVs from there running 25ft each. I have an RCA amp right before the DVR box. My antena is only 12 feet high. It is facing 30 deg, not sure if that;s supposed to matter with this antenna, but it seems to.
I'm thinking I need a preamp, maybe the AntennasDirect cpa19?? but I'm getting that money pit feeling as I'm just shooting in the dark. If I get teh preamp should I get an amplifed splitter too?

Anyone have some good advise? Trying to learn. THanks

Agreeing with Electron, one preamp is enough.

Rule of thumb: One amplifier can be too many, Two amplifiers are too many.
