Antenna Pro vs. Channel Master CM 3671

Right now we have an old multi directional antenna in out attic. I can pick up only some of channels listed in green. We are located in a rural area between 2 broadcasting cities and would like the option of picking up both sets of channels. Right now we are only receiving channels located to the West of us. The channels to the East were picked up by my converter box, but the signal for those are zero.

We are looking to purchase a new antenna not sure if we can get away with attic mount or should roof mount.

Also have been looking at both the Antenna Pro or the Channel Master CM 3671. Anyone have suggestions on either of these, or the best antenna for my location?

I am not familiar with Antenna pro antennas, and can't find anything on the web about them. based on what I can see of your location, you are in between Madison and Milwaukee, and should have pretty easy access to both cities with the right antenna combination. An attic antenna won't get Madison under any circumstances: you really need a roof-mounted antenna on a rotator to see everything available to you. Omnidirectional and multi-directional antennas are good only for close-in applications, and their ultimate worth for those applications is questionable.

Since you don't have any low-band VHF channels in your area, and only one VHF high-band channel in your area (the channels that you used to know as VHF have all moved to UHF, with the exception of WMVS), you really need a good combination VHF-high-band plus UHF antenna along with an antenna rotator and a good, high-input preamplifier.

You don't need the bulk and low-band VHF capability of the Channel Master 3671, although that is a good antenna to use if you needed low-band VHF.

My choice here would be to use a Winegard HD-7696P mounted on your roof, using a Channel Master 9521a rotator, and a Winegard HDP-269 high-input preamplifier. When properly installed, you will see everything from Milwaukee, Madison and Fon Du Lac
