HBU44 Tv antenna. http://www.antennacraft.net . . Use RG6 coax from the antenna to the Tv. Check inside the connector ends , see if any of the metal shielding part of the coax is pushed in toward the center conductor.

I vote for the Winegard 7695 (http://www.solidsignal.com/pview.asp?mc=03&p=HD7695P&d=Winegard-HD-7695P-High-Definition-VHFUHF-HD769-Series-TV-Antenna-%28HD7695P%29&c=TV%20Antennas&sku=)

-More compact, less wind drag (Hurricane season is right around the corner)
-Higher gain, especially on UHF
-75 ohm ready
-Same price

Both antennas are decent choices. The nod often goes to the Winegard for the reasons cited above.

if i go with a more +mile/range like 60 to 100 miles would it be a waste? To me it would. Seems like most everything in the red is either a low power or translator station which generally means no HD programming. Since you will get all the major networks in the green & yellow shaded zones with a reasonably compact antenna, a larger one just doesn't make sense.

Forget the stations in the gray. Even if you get a whiff of them with a higher gain antenna, they wouldn't be reliable enough for regular viewing.

Pay no attention to the mileage ratings on the Winegard antennas. They are way overly conservative. The gain figures are most important when comparing antennas.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.:( It amazes me how much damage occurs to antennas during shipping. It's almost like the delivery guys enjoy abusing antenna boxes. I guess I've been pretty lucky with only minor damage fixable with a little elbow grease. (So far anyway )

I found them in the Analog Channel list and Digital Channel list , look at the lists seperatly . Low Power Analog Tv stations are allowed by the FCC to continue transmitting Analog after the Digital change over June 2009 change over date. .The Low Power Analog Tv transmitters are changing to Digital as time goes along. . The FULL Power Tv stations changed to digital June 2009. It is easy to tell the Analog and Digital transmitters. The analog picture will have ghosts , lines , snow , fuzzyness in the picture , the Digital picture will be Crystal Clear. . Analog is what we all watched for 50 + years , would you go back to Analog only Tv???? . . In the Google search box you can type in the Call Signs of the Tv Stations and get more information. . http://www.titantv.com . shows the programing that is available on the tv stations. Titan Tv Guide tends to be overly complete , tends to give too much information , keep at it and you will figure it out.
