Will mount on roof with new rg6 attached to chimney(approx 20 ft off ground).

Initially to single tuner 30 feet below but eventually might want to tie into existing coax in house with 4 TVs.

Reading docs on site and other posts looks like I need a high VHF/UHF antenna pointing at around 69 degrees off magnetic north to get all standard network channels.

There are some large trees in the backyard in the LOS to stations ~32 miles away.

Thanks in advance for antenna/amp recommendations

If you are interested in some of the weaker signals, a Winegard HD7698P, aimed as you say, would be worth considering. If you are only interested in local stations, the smaller HD7694P would do quite well. In either case, an Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp would offer low noise and handle the stronger local signals without overload.

I agree with the 7694 recommendation in your area. It works quite well in all areas around Manassas I have used it. You should receive all the DC stations well, but will need some amplification if splitting the signal. Never used the CPA-19 pre-amp, but it seems to be a good fit. Another option for distribution would be the Channel Master 3414.
