Antenna Suggestion

I would like some help in choosing an antenna. I get in a few channels now with the old antenna, but I would like to see if a new one would bring in
some channels that are around 75 miles away.

To start with, see if the extra channels have unique programming. Rabbitears.info has the data.

Note that many of the stations at 271 degrees are still licensed as analog. You'd miss the subchannels that are carried on the DTV LPTV stations.

Next look at the VHF (2-13) & UHF (14-69) stations and their directions. With VHF at 87° - 120° and strong, a small Y5-7-13 aimed at 102° is a good choice. Unless the UHF stations at 271° stations are all that you need, you'll want a rotator. Add the two antennas together with a Winegard AP2870 preamp.

Appropriate UHF antennas include 91XG, U8000, CM4228HD, HD 9095P, & HD8800.

I recently got a ClearStream C2 and it's an outstanding antenna. It pulls in everything my DX8 pulled in and is much much smaller. Worth a look.

There will be 3 tv's connected. I am mainly trying to get channel 25 in at 164 degrees. RabbitEars tells me that MeTv will be coming in soon on that
channel.

The signal strength of channel 25 is too weak for you to pick up.

The tv stations in the gray zone will not be received. The transmissions are Very Weak and the Co channel interference and Adjacent channel interference seals the deal , the stations will not be received. However , tv stations are picking up the networks like , This TV , RTV , ME TV , Tuff Tv and etc. , so expect to see them soon on your local stations digital sub channels. I recently got a ClearStream C2 and it's an outstanding antenna. It pulls in everything my DX8 pulled in and is much much smaller. Worth a look.

The C-2 is not a good choice for Tytan. Tytan has three VHF stations to receive. The original C-2 is a UHF only antenna. The new C-2 doesn't have sufficient VHF gain to pick up a VHF station that's 46 miles away.

You may live in an area with UHF only stations, might be missing some VHF stations and not know it, or live in a strong signal area for VHF where a UHF only antenna just happens to work OK.

Tower Guy is saying the truth. There is anecdotal information , Jon told Omar that Lucy said that Bob said that he heard Candy say that this XYZ antenna is a great antenna. Then there is the truth based on facts , the channels that can be received , the strength of the channels that can be received , Are the stations LOS= line of sight or reduced or blocked by mountains , and etc. , And select the Correct antenna or antennas to receive the stations and channels.

And Tower Guy is correct , the Clear Stream 2 is a UHF only antenna. Antennas Direct , http://www.antennasdirect.com also has a CS2-V that has 2 metal reception elements that are for the reception of the VHF high band channels 7 thru 13. The VHF high part of the antenna is for local tv transmitter reception or VHF high stations that are further away that are Very Strong VHF high transmissions.

If that TVfool is accurate and if multi-path is not a factor (it often is), the C2v has plenty enough VHF-capability for this location.
