Hi,

I recently moved into a two story townhouse in Windermere, FL (southwest of Orlando) and would like to get the 'majors' (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) and anything else digital or otherwise. I hooked up a cheap set of rabbit ears and when pointed out a 2nd story window, can get ABC, FOX and sometimes NBC (and even then, these are sporadic - the antenna has to be pointed just perfectly), but never CBS.

Here is my tvfool report:

As you can see, some of these 'majors' are 30+ miles away.

Because of a HOA and townhouse location, I don't think I want to try an outdoor antenna just yet. There is an attic in the townhouse with enough room for a good size antenna.

Any recommendations on what would do the job? I'd like to feed the antenna into the wiring of the townhouse so it will feed three TVs. Would I need an amplifier?

Thanks for any help.

If you could mount outdoors, I'd recommend an RCA Ant-751, in the attic I'd recommend larger - Antennacraft HBU-33 or even Winegard HD7694P.

Point at about 70° to 75° per your compass.

An amplifier should not be needed.

Here is the Federal Law that says Yes you can install and use antennas outside. Hoa's are well aware of this Federal Law but keep their mouth shut about it so as to scam people into thinking they can not put a antenna outside. http://www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html
