Here is my tvfool report

http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3d8387be053a2e94

We have one tv but may add more later.

We are up on a ridge with one thin tree line along a fence row to the West. That is the only spot any trees will be above the antenna.

We live in a mobile home with a metal roof.

The wind gets pretty rowdy up here.

Thanks,

TDC

I recommend a Winegard HD7698P antenna with a Winegard AP8275 preamp aimed at about 135 degree magnetic compass. Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing.html. Mount the antenna above the roof. Here are antenna mounts , http://www.ronard.com/909911.html , http://www.ronard.com/Tripods%200703/4712.html , http://www.ronard.com/34424560.html. This should get the digital tv stations to the south east down to WNPT-DT 8 PBS. This set up should supply signal to up to 4 tv's.

The default antenna height is 10 feet. To improve signal strength , Make and post radar plots with antenna at 25 feet and 40 feet.

Channel 5 WTVF {CBS} is a low band channel. The 7698p is a high band VHF-UHF antenna .You will need an all band antenna such as the 14 foot long winegard HD8200u

I recommend a Winegard HD7698P antenna

Why omit channel 5 with the wrong antenna?

WTVF 5 does not show up in the pending applications included. In the pending applications , WTVF-DR 25 and WTVF 50 does show up in the pending applications.

With a higher antenna height there is a very good possibility that the signal strength will increase and a smaller antenna can be used , please post radar reports at 25 and 40 feet.

Channel 50 is far too weak. Channel 25 is not on the air.

If you want WTVF both now and later, select the 2-69 antenna.

If you don't care about when you can finally get WTVF and want to save some size and money, go with the 7-69 antenna.

Cadiz is a long way from Nashville. Reliable reception is going to be challenging.

With a higher antenna height there is a very good possibility that smaller antenna can be used because of increased signal strength. Make and post 2 more radar plots , one at 25 feet and the other at 40 feet.

I know you will hold your breath and cross your eyes , the link is not working. To help better evaluate the reception situation please post 25 feet and 40 feet.

Well, it looks like my 25 and 40 foot results came through, although repeatedly. Sorry folks, it wasn't intentional.

I would like some help. It looks like going up to 25 feet makes a big difference but going up to forty isn't much better than 25.

I don't know what I'm doing here though, it just looks better to my untrained old eyes.

Anymore advice for me?

Ok , going higher with the antenna does not improve the signal strength for your reception situation. And I agree with the others , Use a Winegard HD8200U antenna with a Winegard AP8275 preamp. Aim the antenna at about 135 degree magnetic compass. Mount the antenna about 15 feet above ground.
