I had 5 channels with a roof mounted round antenna. With the switch to digital I went down to 1 good channel (tvo) and I poor channel CBC. So I hooked up the digital conversion box that I purchased and all I get on the screen is poor signal. My location shows I should be getting a few channels???
Do I need to buy a new antenna and does it need to rotate?
Thanks for any help

As the other question askers do , Do This --> http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=4. When making the tvfool radar report , enter in a height of the antenna and the exact address of the reception location.

Does your existing antenna look like this? Omni antenna (http://www.winegarddirect.com/viewitem.asp?d=Winegard-MS-1000-Metrostar-Omnidirectional-NonAmplified-TV-Antenna-%28MS1000%29&p=MS-1000)
How many TVs are or will be connected?

How many TVs are or will be connected? I'm trying to understand if a rotator would work in your application.

A bigger antenna is now needed. After the August 31 2011 , target date , digital transition date , tvfool is showing in the pending applications for digital channels , 3 receivable digital channels to the south west. Pending applications included is also showing receivable Analog Tv stations to the south west and other directions. The digital stations are of weak signal strength , some of the analog stations are stronger signal strength. A antenna and antenna rotor works ok with one tv , however if more the one tv is connected then disagreements will arise over the direction the antenna is pointed. Additional antennas and wiring can be done to supply signal to more then one tv so that every one can receive what they like. So in order to know what antenna situation installation is the best , we needed to know --> how many tv's are/will be connected.

The digital and analog tv transition in Canada is a work in progress , even after the Aug 31 2011 , main transition date. This web site has a list of what digital and analog channels are located where. And may be more up to date then tvfool. One needs to know what current and future digital and analog channel numbers are so one can know the correct antenna to use. http://www.user.dccnet.com/jonleblanc/Canada_TV_stations , http://digitaltv.gc.ca/eng/1282825334983/1282825604404 , http://www.tvtechnology.com/article/117022 , http://www.tvtechnology.com/article/105462 , http://www.digitalhome.ca , http://www.friends.ca , http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/home-accueil.htm , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_television_transition , http://www.saveandreplay.com , http://www.trentondistributors.com

I recommend a Channel Master Cm 3016 antenna with a Antennas Direct CPA-19 preamp , mounted on a Channel Master CM9521A rotor.

Just wondering if the 3020 deep fringe antenna would make any difference or should I stick with the 3016

The 3020 is really huge , will require extra bracing and might be more then the CM9521A rotor can handle. You can use the 3018 , it will provide some more reception ability.

Thank you,
What about the claims of the Lava HD2605... Comes with a rotor and is so small and cheap...
Is it worth trying?
I know " to good to be true" is just that...usually
