On a previous post (wasn't sure if I should have put this on that thread or a new one) I was asking for recommendations and received a few. I began my research by downloading product information on Winegard antenna's. Not being electronic savvy (as to the laws and formulas), I was trying to understand the chart that shows GAIN, Channels.

I am not sure what it meant on the following values:

dB over reference dipole
beamwidth at half power points
Front to back ratio
Are more elements better

If I am looking at Multiple antenna's do these numbers matter in making a decision? If so, what should I be looking at.

You should be looking at the TV channel assignments in your area, the angles to those transmitters, and the available signal level at your house.

The antenna that you linked to is a quality high-performance antenna. It's a good choice if you have low band VHF, high band VHF, and UHF all in the same direction with NM values in TVfool of 30 db or less. There are very few cities where all these are true.

. Having more then one question asking post for the same reception location causes the confusion to spin out of control , It happens often here at tvfool , question on one post the answer on the other , two answers on one post and one answer on the other , two questions on one post and no answers on either post.
