Hi Guys,

We had a storm last night with lots of lightning. This morning all of the UHF channels went out. I still have two VHF channels from another antenna using a combiner. On the UHF side, 4 years ago I installed an Antennas Direct ClearStream JUICE Preamp.

I found the problem to be the preamp. Zero signal when connected, I am getting some channels when the preamp & power supply are removed.

I want to purchase a good preamp. Just looking for a recommendation. I don't think I want another Juice preamp.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi newmguy:

Here's a link to a previous thread which discusses the various issues you might be experiencing.

http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=16768&highlight=preamps

In the thread, there is a number of links to various preamps/amps that might suit your needs. I think that some posters here would recommend Kitz Technologies amps for their robust performance and low noise figures. There is a link in the thread to their website.

Please let the forum know how you come out. I think it would be of interest to many here.

All the best.....

I ended up buying one of these:
https://www.nesselectronics.com/products/televes-560382-single-input-antenna-preamp-lte-filter-coaxial-f-fitting-connections-automatic-gain-control-agc?_pos=1&_sid=4da0a85f6&_ss=r

I got the single input model. So far so good.
I like the fact that the amp provides output to a second TV so I don't need to use a splitter.
