New at posting here, not new at radio. For starters, I've got a Channelmaster CM-2020 ant with CM-7777HD preamp at 20 feet, running through less than 100' feet new, decent coax. I'm trying to receive WXEL (RF CH 27 at my location on the N shore of Lake Okeechobee, FL. It rarely comes in, usually at night. Please see below link, then the link within to WXEL file. I can receive VHF HI and UHF stations at similar distance running lower power, thus am puzzled why WXEL is such a hard catch. FL is a relatively flat state, so I don't think terrain should be an issue.

Hello, Bob; welcome to the forum.

TVFool reports are no longer very accurate because they use a database with many errors. Please do a signal report at rabbitears.info for your location:

WXEL sold its license in the FCC Repack. It is now a guest (G) on the WPBT host transmitter (H) which is 97 miles away in Miami.

Here is a rabbitears.info report for the center of Okeechobee at the CVS Drug Store at Parrott Ave and Park St:

It looks like PBS is hard to get at your location. W31DC on real channel 31 is a translator for WPBT:
