Uploading Avatars Function Enabled ?

Wasting time this morning when I should have been cutting grass, I decided to update some info and found a the avatar function.

It says 20KB or 80x80 Pixels. By the time I got it resized, it was unviewable.

So I tried using a pic lifted from some advertising of the 91XG because of all the white space, but as in all the cases I get the message "Upload Failed".

Does the function actually work?

What I found is that the Avatars do upload but when you click on "Save Changes" you get a message that say the upload failed.

Just another weird peculiarity of the forums.
