I'm a fan of bow tie style antennas, if I were you I'd do something like the DB4e.

A DB4e is unlikely to get WBBM, the Chicago CBS station. Try it, and come back for some stronger solutions if you need them.

A DB4e is unlikely to get WBBMI agree, its signal is marginal, and it is VHF.....not what the DB4e was designed to receive. Also the PCB balun is excellent for UHF, but has a high loss for VHF.
