Hi, newbie here.

I've been using an old Recoton indoor antenna with mixed success, and would like to find a better option that would improve my reception. Not looking for miracles here, just good reception for the green channels here:
TV Fool Results (http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3d8d176cdb68405e)
Channel 2 is not optional :)

Trying to keep the budget below $100, if possible, even less. Would prefer either an indoor model or something I can mount in the attic. Home is a one story CBS structure, and we do have lots of tall trees about.

The attic is an unknown in terms of attenuation. So rather than suggesting an antenna that will be marginal if everything is in your favor, I'd recommend the Antennacraft HBU-33. If you continue to have difficulty with reception from within the attic, it can be folded back down and mounted outside were it will be plenty of antenna.

Aim toward the SE.

Read and understand this about REAL Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Virtual Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Analog Tv Channels , http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=695 . Here is how to point a Tv antenna , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html . I suggest a Winegard HD7694P antenna pointed at about 135 degree magnetic compass. Here are places to buy tv antennas and etc. , http://www.solidsignal.com , http://www.3starinc.com , http://www.starkelectronic.com , http://www.amazon.com

The HBU-33 and HD7694P are similar in performance. The HBU-33 will be easier to fold back down if needed. If not for that, I would lean toward the 7694.
