I have finally talked the wife into cutting the cable, however I am new to this and would like some advice on how best to setup OTA in my location.

My TVFool report is here: http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3d8d171bf133a4cd

My area code is 32063 in case the TVFool report does not show.

From the research I have done, I believe two of the major networks are broadcasting in VHF, while everything else is UHF.

I understand that I will not acquire the optimal signal, but if poosible I would like to keep the antenna(s) in the attic to keep the wife happy. The house is standard 2x4 constuction with vinyl siding and the roof is asphalt shingles. Ideally, we really only care about the broadcasts from the Jacksonville, FL area, but I am open to suggestions.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

A Winegard Hd7694P antenna directed at 92 degree magnetic compass will supply signal to 1 or 2 Tv's. If it will fit in the attic. Here is how to aim Tv antenna , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html , Read and understand this about , Real Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Virtual Digital Broadcast Tv Channels , Analog Tv Channels , http://forum.tvfool.com/showthread.php?t=695

How many Tv's are connected ?? You can use the same coax cable that the cable company uses to get the signal from point A to point B in the house , however Do Not have the Tv antenna and 'active cable Tv' on the same coax at the same time. The cable Tv's coax that supplies signal must be disconnected at the house.

Thanks John, that is a lot of great information. I didn't know about the online tv guides.

The maximum number of tvs would be four and the home has a central coax distribution box. We currently have Comcast for the Internet and are using Dish network for the tv programming. We will be keeping the Comcast Internet, but that is already separated within the coax distro box.

I have heard that some people are able to combine their OTA signal with local QAM signal on the same lines, is this possible or did I not understand the setup being used.

Thanks for the quick response and all the informative links.
