TV fool report from address http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3dd243a9cc290879

I have an RCA ANT751 new from Amazon and a Unkown Yagi I found in the attic coupled together 30' off the ground. I am getting great VHF reception... but no UHF.

The RCA ANT751 is designed for both UHF, VHF and 1080. Even tried my uncle's Antennas Direct - ClearStream 4V Antenna (still no UHF).

The RG6 cable is new... but I used twist on connectors.

Pics of my stup are here.

Thanks for looking!

Perhaps you have a UVSJ in the circuit that is blocking the UHF signals.

Are you correctly discerning the difference between UHF and VHF broadcasts? You only have three close-by VHF stations which operate on VHF channel 6 (WUOA), 10 (WBIQ), and 13 (WVTM).

If you have, then the most commonly encountered issue is that the TV set is still set for cable instead of being set to the "Antenna" prior to scanning.

What did you use to tie he antennas together? Uncouple the two antennas for initial setup and set them up separately. Right now, you don't have any idea of what is or isn't working right and it might be due to a mistake in the configuration.

ADTech you were right! It was an input setting on the TV. Man, 5 days of toil and confusion over a setting in the TV!

Yeah, we get that call quite frequently....

Along with analog-only TV sets and folks who thing that TVs using antennas still work the same way as back in the pre-digital days. Most of them haven't used an antenna in a really long time (if ever) and don't realize that the TV set has to be programmed...and those are all over the place in the specifics on how it's accomplished.

Anyway, glad it's worked out.
