Hi I am from the city of Montreal and I just setup an antenna I selected a DB8E, with a 10 foot mast, installed on top of a duplex. Currently getting about 22 Channels in. Here is my report.

I did not use any booster etc... I still need to ground it properly. I could use a clamp and ground wire to attach ground wire to Water main? Do I need to do anything else? Any recommendations anyone? Any way thanks in advance TV Antenna Friends! As You can see I am definately new to this. But fed up of Cable bills for crap stations etc... BTW is there anyway to have some kind of interactive TV guide ? Or any recommendations for a good recorder? I think with the antenna and Netflix and Crackle I will be OK without cable bill. Thanks in advance, MontrealSignal.

Based on my personal experience, the first thing you should do is to ground the coax with a grounding block that is connected to your electrical system ground. This will protect you from leakage current shocks from your AC operated equipment.
