For this profile, what antenna do I use?

I was thinking about installing an antenna in my attic but based on my profile, I'm not sure if I'll get much. Is it worth it? if so, what's the optimal antenna I should use? Do I need a pre-amp and so on?

Hello Zee,

Before we discuss set ups and how to proceed, what are your goals? Are you going after Canadian only broadcasts? Do you want the US as well?

There are a differing ways to approach this situation. The first thing is to know what you'd like out of it.

And also, attic antenna will limit your reception to the point of the weaker US signals may not be reliable.

Thanks for the reply. I don't care too much about getting the US channels, as long as I get CBC, CBS, TVO and CityTV - the basics, I'm good.

I live in a condo townhouse so the attic is the best I can do in terms of mounting. I can't really mount it on the outside.
