Please help with antenna recommendations...

We just recently cut our cable and have been enjoying our little Roku with Netflix. But we do miss the local channels and wondered if an antenna would complete our tv situation. My husband just said for me to "get one and he'd put it up", but I have no idea what I'm looking at in regards to the information from the report above. My mother-in-law lives a bit farther away from the signal as we do and gets the channels just fine, so I know it can be done. Her antenna is very old... at least 30 years. She knows nothing about it to give me suggestions on what to look for. Several of the rods are bent and there are no markings on it.

Anyway, I am looking for an antenna that would allow us to get NBC, CBS, ABC, and Fox.

We have a couple of trees, but not too heavily covered. We have a one story home and could place an antenna about 20' in the air I think.

What kind of antenna would you suggest? Would we need an amplifier too? If so, what do you suggest?

Also, we have 4 TVs, is that a problem to split it off to multiple TVs like that? Generally, they are not all on at the same time, if that matters.

I really appreciate any help you can offer. I have been reading and researching... there are just so many choices and so much to consider. I thought asking the experts would sure help! Thank you in advance!

Your TVFool Report resolves only to the block level.

Go to https://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=90 and enter your address and click "Map This". Then click on "Satellite" at the top right, zoom in, and put the pointer right over your house. Change the antenna height from the default of "10" to "20". When the map updates click on "Make Radar Plot" on the top right. A new window will open. The Best Practice for Reliable Reception is to install antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in directions of reception including your own roof and building.
