Well I slap together an eight 'v' element antenna to receive digital channels from about 40 miles away. To my surprise it works very well.
I can scan for channels at different times, (depending on weather, wind and other factors) and get up to 29 channels FREE.
I stopped my DIRECT TV and did not have any channels so I got on TV FOOL and discovered what HD channels I could receive in my area. Then got on Youtube for instructions to make antenna to get them and VOILE. I made the antenna for about six bucks.:D
