TVfool report is http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3d5b94d20254cf83
My North Atlanta location is 13-18 miles from most important towers and 146-189*magnetic.. I suffer from trees and other townhomes blocking LOS even if I put outdoor antenna 30' above ground(chimney). Mostly 2 edge diffraction/multipath.
There is an ION tower northwest of me approximately 28 miles away(Ch 51). Most signals are UHF 14-48, with ION(51). Of VHF interest, there is Hi-V 8 & 10, Lo-V 6.
Currently eyeing a directional UHF/VHF antenna, the RCA ANT751, and another which looks just like it. Is a second UHF only needed for Ch 51?
Not opposed to exploring other options including DIY designs if they help me cut the cord. Many thanks for suggestions.

Many thanks for the precision analysis and recommendations. May have issues with trees and other townhomes to the immediate south, southeast, and east being about 30' and 40' away and taller than 30' antenna. Hope the preamplifier will help boost signals being blocked.
I'm guessing the much longer/wider HD850 has better chance of success than the ANT751 or EZ HD's shorter/fewer elements.
