I am a newbie and have found several suggestions for antennas that might work for pulling in signals, but I am hoping to find an antenna that is not quite so large. The following is my TV Fool info:

Just to see what would happen, I bought an indoor GE amplified antenna (24700). I can receive 11 channels, but they all break transmission frequently, so you really can't watch any of them. I would like to get a roof antenna, but I am not a large person, and I will be putting it together by myself. Most of the antenna's I have seen recommended for my situation are around 170." I would like to find a smaller one that might still do the trick. I would like to be able to receive the local NBC station KRON and KRCB(PBS). Any others are just gravy, but would be nice too.

Any suggestions?

Your choices are:

One large antenna.
Two medium sized antennas.
Spotty reception.

The two antenna solution would include a 91XG plus a Y10-7-13 with a dual input preamp such as a TVPRAMP1R.

Looking at the , Digital Current Plus Pending Applications Included Channel List and Radar Report.

For reception down the channel list to and including KRCW , The CW.

The smallest antenna I can recommend is the , www.antennacraft.net , HBU33 antenna aimed at about 148 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna , do not trust a cell phone compass.

Install the HBU33 antenna above the roof in such a manner the roof and building are not , obstructing , impeding , blocking , reception in the directions of , South East , East , North North East.

Here are some above the roof antenna mounts.

Use the , ronard(911) , 5 foot tripod antenna mount.

Use the , ronard(4560) , eave antenna mount.

Measure around the chimney and use a , ronard(2212) , ronard(2218) , ronard(2224) .

Buy the ronard antenna mounts at , www.ronard.com , or , www.amazon.com

------------

For 1 or 2 Tv's connected a antenna system amplifier will most likely not be required.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a 2 way splitter.
