First thing I would go back to your data and click on the digital channels only in the current data base. It is a standard radio button. That clears out some noise of channels you probably don't need.

Smarter chaps will be along after awhile. Your NW direction seems the easiest to get. All are UHF except Channel: 6 (6.1) Network: GTN. You could go with just a UHF only.

What channels are you wanting the most? Are the NW stations that are not labeled actual network TV? Seems like the SE has the major networks but the signals will be more challenging. Or are you contemplating use of a rotor?

I am hoping to get as many channels as possible but that will also depend on costs and equipment needed right now we use an indoor antenna and get 3 channels

Just playing along at home, but I couldn't find that station on RabbitEars.info, nor could I find it through an internet search, at least not on that broadcast channel.

CIII are the call letters weird. It exists and there is a thread here about it.

CIII has more then one transmitter.

At your location is also CIII on UHF channel 14.

So no requirement to receive the channel 6 CIII.

My recommendations are based on the Current and Pending Applications Included and extensive - ongoing - research that goes way beyond the current and pending applications.

Your location is a Simple Reception Situation.

For reception of the Canada Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels and USA Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , WNPI-DT PBS , WCFE-DT PBS , WNYF-CD FOX and CBS , www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WNYF-CD .

Install a ANT751 antenna above the peak of the roof in such a manner that the roof and building are not , obstructing , impeding , blocking , reception in the directions of , north west , south west , south , south east .

Aim the ANT751 antenna at about 168 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna.

----------

A antenna system amplifier is not required for 1 or 2 Tv's connected.

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 Tv's connected use a , Holland Electronics , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

---------

Here are some place to buy antennas and etc. .

www.saveandreplay.com

www.trentondistributors.com

www.amazon.ca

www.amazon.com

www.solidsignal.com

------------

The Tv/s Must Channel Scan for the , OTA=Over The Air , Digital Broadcast Tv stations/channels , often named the ~DTV Channels ~ Antenna Channels ~ Air Channels ~ in the Tv Setup Menu Because the Tv transmissions travel through the Air from the transmitting antenna to the receiving antenna.

Some Digital Tv's will Automatic channel scan for cable Tv channels.

DO NOT channel scan for cable Tv channels.

Go into the Tv Setup Menu and select ~ DTV Channels ~ Antenna Channels ~ Air Channels .

Scan for channels.

---------

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on Broadcast Tv reception and so do buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and house.

The Best Pratice is to install the ANT751 antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind in the directions of reception including your own roof and house.

Would it be better to mount it on the Tower I use for my Internet? or just use the mounting bracket where the satellite dish was ? use RG6 Tri-Shield or RG11 Tri-Shield Cable ?
Distance from Satellite Mount to 1st TV is approx 100' from Internet tower to 1st TV approx 150' The Splitters I have are ANTRONIX CMC2002H I also Have access to ANTRONIX MVRA501B/AC AMPS

The Best Way to receive broadcast Tv witha Tv antenna is to have the antenna clear of obstructions in the directions of reception.

If the tower provides better reception that is more clear of obstructions in the directions of reception , then Yes install the ANT751/R on the tower.

--------

Yes RG11 has less signal loss , so Yes use the RG11.

RG6 is also Ok to use.

-------------

How many Tv's -are/will be- connected??

-------------

Test reception without a amplifier.

------------

How many Tv's are/will be connected??

---------------------------------------------------

If you will like to receive the Canada Tv stations , and USA Tv stations.

And also Reach Out for the USA Tv stations that are in the Red reception zone that are , 78 plus miles away.

Install a Winegard HD7698P antenna , not the ANT751.

I can not say that the USA Tv stations in the Red reception zone will be reliably received.

It is a 'Test' the reception situation.

The tower is much higher but we have an issue in summer with trees in bloom as I would have to install it lower on the tower.

There will be 2 TV's attached to this maybe 4 by summer but not very likely.

I will look at both and try to make a best guess pick wife will tell me cheaper one lol

I suggest install the ANT751 for now.

At a later date , such as when summer time comes , Test reception with the HD7698P.
