We are moving offices and it is now in a downtown setting. Looks like we will be on the first floor, my office does have a window faceing south-ish, with a six story building across the street (that is th tallest building in the downtown area). What will be my best choice for indoor antenna, I've looked at the Wineguard flat wave amped anything better.

Hello ba.cross,

Before I make any suggestion, it is important to keep your expectations reasonable in this application. Utilizing the window, you still have a major obstruction in your path. Plus, you have a lot of energy being emitted by computers, building wiring etc that'll be competing with the signals you want to receive. The upshot is even with the best indoor antenna, factors in your immediate vicinity could cause less than reliable reception. Be prepared for this scenario.

That said, some on this forum have found the amplified Mohu Leaf has worked well for them.

Your report indicates pretty good signal availibility. A problem you have is the presence of high VHF in your report (CBS, ABC, PBS). The leaf does offer some VHF support, but it is very secondary to UHF. That means, that the VHF signals may not reliable.

Solid Signal makes the HD Blade:

They claim VHF support.

Generally, indoor antenna applications aren't ideal for reception. If it is all you have, then its the expectations that you need to manage. I suggest perhaps the HD Blade, mount it in your windows and give it a try and you'll know what your location is capable of. There is no way to fully predict in an environment with obstructions and electronics running what your reception will be until you test it.

Best of luck.

The Tvfool report , Digital Current Plus Pending Applications Included Channel List and Radar Map shows that , Main Group of Tv stations , the Tv station you will like to receive are to the South.

( KBTX-DT , Real UHF Tv channel 50 , is to the , west north west , and is Strong Signal Strength. )

The Tv transmissions and reception to the South Strong Signal Strength.

Do Not use any type or kind of amplified antenna or any type or kind of antenna system amplifier.

Reasons , the signals are strong so no requirement for a amplifier.

And because of the close buildings around your office building , Tv signals will be bouncing all around , this is called Multi-Path , multi-path is not good for reception.
Using any type or kind of amplifier , will also amplify the multi-path
, making multi-path stronger is not good.

The correct action is to make multi-path weaker.

I recommend install/place a Non amplifier indoor type antenna , in/at the window that is in the , south type direction.

Use a Non amplified , Terk HDTVi Non amplified antenna , not the Terk HDTVa amplified antenna.

The Terk HDTVi antenna has the , long metal reception rods for the VHF channels 2 thru 13 and the multiple metal reception elements antenna for reception of the UHF channels 14 thru 51.

Aim the Terk HDTVi antenna at about 180 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim indoor and outdoor antennas , www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html

If a Long coax running through office is required to connect the HDTVi antenna that is in/at the window to the Tv then , So Be It.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. .

If there is moving traffic and moving people out side the window , this creates moving multi-path , moving multi-path is Not Good For Reception.

------

If a antenna can be located at a location that avoids most or all obstructions in the directions of reception , that will improve reception.
