Antenna Help

The last few months I've had issues getting decent reception. If there's no wind, most of the time reception is fine. Sometimes it's not though. Storms or wind and reception drops off. I've checked the antenna and nothing seems damaged. I'm not sure the exact model, but it's close to an RCA ANT3036X. I requested help from solid signal and they recommended getting a Winegard HD7697. Here's my signal analysis -http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3d46aed44554e19d That says an attic antenna should get everything, at least I think that's what it says.

Current antenna is roof mounted, about 20' up. Twin lead to a 4 way amplifier. 3 tvs. We have two large pine trees in the line of sight to where the stations are. That didn't seem to matter before.

With this info, would I benefit from spending $100 on the antenna and new coax to it?

Remove ->All<- of the twin lead antenna wire every where through out the system both outside and inside of the building.

Only use RG-6 coax to do antenna system wiring.

Use passive and active devices that connect to RG-6 coax.

Install a NEW Matching Transformer (Balun) that connects the New RG-6 coax to the antenna.

Aim the antenna at about 80 degree magnetic compass direction.

Use a Real and Actual magnetic compass to aim antenna.

Trees blowing in the winds is one of the most common problems when problems occur when the wind blows.

As always , trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves , have a Negative Effect on Broadcast Tv reception

Absorbing , Blocking , Broadcast Tv reception

Multi-path reflections signals bouncing off the trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves

Moving multi-path because of the wind , moving multi-path is Very Bad for Digital Broadcast Tv Reception.

The Digital Broadcast Tv Tuners computer can correct multi-path up to certain point and then the computer is over loaded and picture and sound Will Be Bad.

Buildings and other obstructions including your own roof and building will also disrupt reception.

The Best Pratice is to install the antenna at a location that has the least amount to no amount of obstructions of any type or kind , including trees and tree leaves , plants and plant leaves and buildings and other obstructions in the directions of reception including your own roof and house.
