Antenna Recommendation Down a Hill....

This property is located down in a bowel / down hill. The antenna needs to pick-up channels to the northwest. The antenna can be located on the roof at about 25 feet but it will not have a clear shot to the stations if that makes sense - i.e. it will be pointed against a gradual hill that is used to get down to the property.

I need to service two TV's. Cables runs are from roof (antenna location) to splitter location in basement - approx 30 feet. From splitter to TV1 - 18 feet. From splitter to TV2 - 25 feet.

Please recommend an antenna, boosters, etc.

At least you have the advantage of all available signals lay on the same azimuth. I'd use a Winegard HD7698P and an Antennas Direct PA-18 preamplifier.

I presume the PA-18 needs to be located up by the antenna. With that said, I have a couple of RG-6 runs on the roof. I will be using one of those for the antenna. The location to power the PA-18 is about 30 feet away as well (the other RG-6 run). What I am asking is can I power the PA-18 from one of the 30 foot cable runs? I have no way to get power close to the antenna location. Also, can I use a regular splitter at the splitter location (also 30 feet away from the antenna) to get to the two TV locations versus an amp/powered splitter.

Use a single port power pass splitter such as a Blonder Tongue CRSP-2.

The PA-18, like virtually all preamplifiers is powered by low voltage inserted into the coax. The power supply and power insertion block are intended to be indoors. You will need to have an extremely long cable run to before you need to worry about voltage drop.

Aim the antenna at about 320 degree magnetic compass direction.
