To receive the Philly area Tv stations and receive as many of the New York Tv stations as possible using 1 antenna aimed in 1 direction.

Install a Winegard HD7084P antenna above the roof aimed at about 43 degree magnetic compass direction.

Here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html.

Use a Old School magnetic compass to aim antenna.

______________

Install a Winegard , LNA-200 'Boost' XT amplifier.

______________

For 1 Tv connected use No splitter.

For 2 or more Tv's connected , the LNA-200 , power supply , power injector , preamp must all be before the input of the splitter , or , use a splitter that passes power through the splitter so the power supply and power injector can be on the inside of house.

Here are some power passing splitters.

Holland Electronics , HFS-2D , 2 way splitter.

Holland Electronics , HFS-3D , 3 way splitter.

Buy the HFS splitters at , http://www.solidsignal.com.

Here are some places to buy antennas and etc. .

Teleview is suggesting to aim a high gain antenna at NY, and get the close and strong Philly stations off the back/side of the antenna. WPVI is a vhf low station, so it needs a big antenna, hence the recommendation for the HD7084P. Ignoring anything else about the stacker, it would not get you a good signal in the VHF low band.
