Greetings all,
We live in the Ocean Beach/Point Loma neighborhood of San Diego, in a condo. There's a hill right in front of us, and on the other side of the hill is the airport. We have the Mohu Leaf antenna (original), and it works better than other antennas I've tried, but stations often go in and out of reception. It takes some fiddling with the antenna to get a station to "stick" and then sometimes it fades out later on. I keep the antenna on the east wall in the living room, but it's an interior wall (bedroom between living room and outside east wall). We can only use an indoor antenna, as we're in a condo building.
We'd like to get the major networks and PBS. Even the stations that are closest in location can fade in and out. We are on the flight path, and that may be playing with our reception too.
Our TV Fool report is at

Thanks in advance for any insights, much appreciated!

If you own the outside walls and roof of your part of the condo , then here is the Federal Antenna Law that says Yes you can install a Broadcast Tv Antenna of any size above the roof so as to have reliable reception.
Hoa's are well aware of this Federal Antenna Law.
Many Hoa's keep their mouth shut about it or try to twist the law and make you believe that you can not install and use a broadcast Tv antenna outside.
One way a Hoa will try and twist the law is say that the small satellite dish size also applys to the broadcast Tv antennas.
The Federal Antenna Law clearly states that Broadcast Tv Antennas can be of any size so as to have Reliable Reception.

The Federal Antenna Law also clearly states that you can place a Broadcast Tv Antenna on a patio or balcony that is part of your unit and directly under your control.
___
That said. The Tv signals are strong at your location.
A Small Antenna such as a , ANT751 or AntennaCraft HBU11 , mounted above the roof in such a manner that the roof and building are not blocking reception in the directions of , South East , East , North East , North , North West , and aim the antenna at about 135 degree magnetic compass direction , here is how to aim antennas , http://www.kyes.com/antenna/pointing/pointing.html , will receive Many Digital Broadcast Tv Stations/Channels.
___
If you have a patio or balcony that is toward the , ~ North East ~ then a ANT751 or HBU11 out on the patio or balcony aim at about 135 degree magnetic compass will receive Many channels.
Or try the mohu in a ~~ North East ~~ window.
Or a better indoor type antenna is the Terk HDTVi (not HDTVa) will most likely work better then the mohu.
Aim the antennas to the south east the best you can.
