Currently I am testing the waters with a amplified Leaf hanging over a curtain rod in a west widow. Not the greatest set up and wrong direction, I know!

I can get 8 stations (and their subs) except WKYC (3.1), WOIO (19.1), WVPX (23.1) and a few other minor ones I'm not too worried about. I assume that I can't get WKYC due to overloading? I'll test again tonight with the amp unplugged...
The wifey won't let me cut the cord until I can get WVPX (ION). Looking at the radar map, it's going to be a low signal in the same direction as all the power houses. Since we are renting the house, I can't put anything up on the roof just yet, but I do have access to a (smaller) crawl space where the attic is. (Attic was converted to master bedroom).
Another forum suggested I put up the AntennaCraft 33 (HBU-33) but I am worried about the space needed. Would the AntennaDirect C2-v or the Winegard HD 4400 pull in WVPX without overloading the hot signals that are only 3 miles away? I just don't have much horizontal space to work with and verticle space is limited as well...
Intended future set up; Antenna on the roof. Upstairs TV; OTA & Roku. Downstairs TV; OTA and Tivo Premier.
Thanks for your advces...
